Private Chef Kevin Noar wanted to start a blog to showcase his talents and to also share recipes via a blog. Each blog post features large high resolution images of the each step in a recipe, to help the site visitor in cooking the meal themselves.
Private Chef Kevin Noar wanted to start a blog to showcase his talents and to also share recipes via a blog. Each blog post features large high resolution images of the each step in a recipe, to help the site visitor in cooking the meal themselves.
The vision for Epic Food Blog’s design was for the site to feel very clean and modern to allow for the imagery to be the focus and not to feel at tacky in anyway. A classic font pairing of Georgia for headings and Helvetic for body copy was chosen along with a black and white color scheme. The site also features unique recipe backend system that allows for easy in creating multiple outputs (Pinterest, PDF, Print) of the recipe all styled for their respective platforms. The site backend had been updated to have an auto image optimization system to ensure that the site page loads remains fast.
Epic Food Blog is built on the WordPress platform, featuring a custom theme and few additional plugins. I worked on this project as part of the All in Web Pro team.
